HealthCARE Montana developed the Success Skills for CNA video series in response to a need for targeted soft skills training identified in a 2015 needs assessment of employers across Montana. The LEAD (Learn, Engage, Adapt, Do) course was developed for the same purpose and is used throughout Montana at long-term care and CNA training facilities. The program was piloted in 2016 at a long-term care facility, evaluated, and determined to be very successful. It became part of the state’s Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program and used in Critical Access Hospitals. The training products were developed with a grant from the U.S Department of Labor and are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivatives 4.0 International License.
